The text revolves around the "metis" that is intelligence, cunning, which is not only a divine prerogative (Zeus, Athena, Hephaestus and Hermes are the champions of metis), but also of some human categories such as the helmsman, the charioteer, the politician, the sophist, the weaver, the hunter, the fisherman, the doctor, that is, all those jobs that involve the use of one's intellect to make the most of a situation and, even, to predict the outcome.
