The Orthodox Survival Course is a series of lectures by Father Seraphim Rose. The title may be a misnomer because what it provides is a history of the world that explains our modern times. It provides an alternate history that explains the nature of the modern world better than institutionally supported historians and “experts.” 

The lectures describe the "Orthodox Worldview", and the history of post-schism intellectual and cultural deviation given to help equip Orthodox Christians. The writings discuss how to acquire an Orthodox philosophy of history, in order to understand the current situation in light of the Church's teaching, and thereby be better equipped to discern falsehood and avoid deceptive interpretations of what is going on around us.
