The Khazarian Connection argues that many Ashkenazi Jews are descended not primarily from the ancient Israelites of the Middle East, but from the medieval Turkic-speaking Khazar Empire, whose ruling elite is believed to have converted to Judaism around the 8th–9th centuries. The text uses this claim to challenge conventional understandings of Jewish ethnic and historical origins.
