Book description
René Binet (1913–1957) was a French neo-fascist writer whose 1950 book Théorie du racisme (Theory of Racism) laid foundational arguments for modern white nationalism and biological essentialism.
His core theory of race rested on the following pillars:
- Biological Realism: Binet promoted a pseudo-scientific worldview that individual and racial inequalities are strictly biological, arguing for the intrinsic superiority of the European "white race".
- Anti-Capitalist "Race-Mixing": He argued that "interbreeding capitalism" deliberately sought to eradicate distinct racial identities to create a uniform, easily exploitable, and "inhuman" global workforce.
- Global Segregation: To prevent the extinction of the white race, Binet advocated for strict and absolute racial segregation, both globally and at the national level.
His work prefigured modern ideologies like "ethnopluralism" and the "Great Replacement" theory.
